Disruptive Energy Services was incorporated in 2018. What began as an environmental project management firm working with a local energy company has grown into an diverse company, working with clients across numerous sectors.

 

Disruptive finds it’s roots back to the early 2010’s when our founder started his first environmental focused venture. Mr. Jackson started with the goal of leaving the world a more sustainable place and reducing the environmental footprint left by day-to-day life.

He initially started making his goal a reality by selling earthworms to local residents and business in his hometown for composting organic food waste, definitely not the first choice of businesses for many twelve-year old’s. From the worms came an opportunity to help the local communities in bloom organizer develop an organic waste program for Thorsby, with his “I can concur the world”   attitude he got started on developing the plans for a commercial scale organics processing facility. Sadly for many teenagers  including our founder their piggy bank just isn’t full enough to finance a project of that scale.

But after spending months reviewing provincial regulations and discussing the project with industry experts and governmental officials he realize the world of opportunities available within the environmental industry.

Once graduating high school he enrolled in the Land and Water Resources program at Olds College to learn more about the remediation and reclamation of land impacted by industrial development. After many sleepless night and stressful days he  graduated from the program, following graduation he decided that it was time to start a new company focused on helping his clients manage their liabilities in a more sustainable way and Disruptive was born.

Disruptive has grown to become an integrated energy infrastructure and environmental services provider focused on helping our clients throughout the lifecycle of their assets from construction to their end of life obligations. Even though our service lines have continued to expand our commitment to the environment remains. Throughout the company you can see our focus on the environment and safety.

Our founder always chuckles about how much easier things were back in the worm days, as he gets into his pickup to go to another site to visit with the crew and ensure that our projects are going smoothly.
